I have served as pastor of three congregations over the past 30 years, serving at New Hope Lutheran Church for the past seven.

I enjoy preaching and teaching God’s Word.  I rejoice in seeing the spiritual gifts God has given to others, helping them to recognize and grow in them, and celebrate their use of them.  Giving God our best when it comes to worship (preaching, hymns, music and choirs) is our priority each week.  It’s the one time a week we have the chance to connect the most people to Christ at one time.  We owe it to God’s people to give God our best in worship.

I love serving with members of a church who realize that their church is not just for them, but for those who are not with them in the pews, whether that is a straying member or one that is not yet a member.  A church that loves Jesus and loves His Word will love to share His Word with others.

We know who Jesus is and why He came.  And so, we know who we are and why we are here.
